Media Information

Information aimed at helping visiting media to the Mazuma Mobile Stadium and providing information to facilitate all media requests.

The Morecambe FC Media department consists of:

  • Matt Smith - (Head of Media and Communications)
  • Jack Taylor - (Media and Communications Assistant)
  • Derek Quinn - (Editorial Coordinator)
  • James Gates - (Academy Media Coordinator)

Media Requests
All interview requests or general media enquiries relating to Club affairs are to be directed to the media department, preferably via email to media@morecambefc.com or by calling 01524 411797.

Press Conferences
The vast majority of interview requests will be facilitated at our regular press conferences, which normally take place the day before a midweek competitive first team game and two days ahead of a competitive first team weekend game. The Club will occasionally call press conferences in the event of any major announcements.

All press conferences are provisionally scheduled to take place at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium unless otherwise stated in our regular e-mail press releases. Any accredited organisations requiring further information in this regard are asked to contact the Club via the number listed above. Please read any press releases carefully for details of alterations to press conference venues as we cannot accept re-arranged press conferences to accommodate any organisations who turn up at the wrong venue.

Match Accreditation
In order for media organisations to attend first team fixtures at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium to provide broadcast or written coverage, EFL media accreditation is required. To obtain permission to report on all EFL fixtures, please contact Kelly Williams accreditations@football-dataco.com or by calling 020 7864 9163. Please note that the EFL reserves the right to refuse any applications which are considered unsuitable or outwith the best interests of the competition.

Accredited organisations wishing to attend Morecambe home fixtures are asked to make their applications through DataCo's I-PBS online booking system http://www.football-dataco.com.

Please note that the closing date for accreditation applications is 4:30pm on Thursdays for all weekend fixtures, or 4:30pm two days before a midweek fixture. Though we can normally accommodate late requests (subject to availability), the deadlines have been set to ensure the smoothest possible service on the day of the game. We respectfully ask that all submissions for accreditation are made via the I-PBS system.

Live full match commentaries can only be carried out where an agreement exists between the Club, the EFL and the third party broadcaster. Any organisations with such an agreement is requested to submit a purchase order number with their accreditation request in order to allow us to process your application. We cannot guarantee access to any organisation not adhering to this request.

Matchday Parking
Please note that parking is limited and can not be guaranteed, if you have requested parking via the I-PBS system you will receive confirmation on whether this has been accepted via email.

Match Photography
The vast majority of images used in our matchday programme and via the pages of our club website are provided by our official photographer. For any queries relating to imagery, please contact our media department.

Match Filming
For filming queries relating to Morecambe FC, please contact the media department.

iFollow
iFollow is the Club's official broadcast channel, provided as an online subscription service in conjunction with the EFL and Endeavour. The Club is responsible for providing the daily video interview content and the matchday audio commentary on all first team home and away games.

Work Experience/Student Requests
Due to the vast number of requests we receive relating to student projects or possible work experience placements, it is unfortunately impossible for us to grant every request we receive.

Opportunities for individuals wishing to gain work experience within the media department - including the chance to report on non-first team fixtures - are occasionally available. Anyone wishing to be considered for such a placement are asked to email media@morecambefc.com, stating the reason for their application, the whole weeks in which they are available (preferably in fortnightly periods or longer) and including an up to date CV and examples of relevant work in this area.

Contacts
If the above information still doesn't answer your query, please feel free to email media@morecambefc.com or call the Club's reception on 01524 411797.
